Richard Dean Anderson - Stargate SG-1 – After he was the best bomb tech in the world as MacGyver, Anderson played Col. Jack O’Neal, leader of Stargate SG-1, a team whose mission was to explore the network of stargates in the galaxy. Dean’s character was a mixture of levity and lethal military skill. Anderson not only starred in Stargate SG-1 for most of the 10 years the show was on, but was a guest in the spin-offs, including Stargate Universe. Anderson has been a foundation on the SYFY channel, and has made a real mark in television’s science fiction genre.
So there are my choices for 2011. Whether your comments cheer me or question my sanity, I would love to hear from you guys.

It’s refreshing to see a list of awards that doesn’t make me furious at society in general. Granted, it looks like we disagree on Game of Thrones vs. Fringe (I would have had a GoT sweep), but that’s besides the point.
That close shave still gets me all emotional…

Glad you appreciate the list Adam. I 100% see why you, and most of geekdom, would choose Game of Thrones. It had better acting and was a bigger production for the most part. And not to try to change your mind, but just letting you know where I’m coming from; I think Fringe did a better job at being a Science Fiction than Game of Thrones did at being a fantasy. Of course it’s because Fringe is in its 4th season and Game is just getting started. I’m sure things will switch this year.
One OMG moment that I didn’t include in the list was in Fringe, when Walter was about to give himself a Lobotomy. That had me even more ‘emotional’ then Stark’s last moments, which tugged at the heart strings too.
